BNS is the provincial organization of cyclists in Nova Scotia. We are commuters, mountain bikers, racers, recreational riders and elite athletes, who work together to grow cycling in Nova Scotia. Our different sectors develop young athletes, collaborate with government and other organizations to make cycling safe and accessible province-wide, develop sustainable mountain bike trails, and serve as the governing body for all bicycle racing and trials in the province. Two sister-organizations, the Nova Scotia Bikeways Coalition and the Nova Scotia Mountain Bike Trails Association, are undergoing merger with BNS to make the voice of cyclists stronger. Calling all mtb'ers - the 2012 mtb race season is almost upon us, and as discussed at the AGM we are in need of volunteers. We are trying to organize an mtb course to create a much larger commissaire pool to draw on for the up coming race season. The course will be open to anyone interested in becoming a commissaire (racers, friends, parents), free to attend, held on one Sunday in April, and if you commissaire a race in 2012, you will be eligible for a FREE 2013 mtb license. The
Canada Games organizational team is well underway in their preparation of our
young athletes for the games being held next summer in Sherbrooke, Quebec.
- The 2013 Canada Games Core Team February Training Camp has been RESCHEDULED for Saturday, March 3, 2012 in Truro. Click Here to Download the Camp Information Sheet. The original camp was cancelled due to poor weather.
- The 2013 Canada Games Core Team will be having a
Training Camp on Saturday, March 31, 2012 in the Annapolis Valley.
